Man arrested over murder attempt after car strikes man.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder after a vehicle was allegedly driven at another man in Ayrshire. The 30-year-old was struck by a car in East Road in Irvine, just before 13:00 on Saturday.
He was taken to Crosshouse Hospital near Kilmarnock, where his condition was described as "serious".
