
A woman who is a resident of Mfinzi village in Nkasi district-Sumbawanga is under police custody in an allegation of pouring some hot water to her husband which led to his death ,and then threw him in the river.Rukwa's regional police commander Mr Jacob Mwaruanda yesterday said that the event happened last night within the village and mentioned the killed man as Evod Teola aged 62 years old.
Commander said that on the event day the man came back home and started a conflict with his wife known as Zelena Kiozya aged 55 years old who later on ran into the kitchen and took some hot water and poured on his face and stomach.The commander added Evod got big injuries and passed away after lacking quick treatment service and died the same night.Commander Mwaruanda said the next day,his wife in cooperation with her parents took the dead body and threw it at Mfinzi river for the purpose of hiding the evidence.
He said up to the moment the woman is still under police custody and they're still seeking the other people she cooperated with to try hiding the evidence.Those people dismissed on the same day the event occurred .Due to Mwaruanda's statement he said that the woman will be taken to court any time when the first investigation ends.Mwaruanda has warned the residents of Rukwa region to escape on various events relating to that which may lead them into matters by breaking the laws .He advised them to be understanding easily the matters by consulting together when quarrels arises.
